Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was large, clean and well equipped with a great bathroom, including a full size bath. Worth paying extra for room with a view of Fuji as the view was insane. Wasn’t able to use the onsen due to being tattooed (was aware of this before), however had an amazing massage at the hotel spa instead for half the price it would be in the UK. Hotel restaurant food was great and staff were helpful and accommodating with dietary requirements (vegan with a peanut allergy). Good location, Lake Kawaguchiko 40 mins walk away, station/bus stop 15 mins walk away. 7/11 just around the corner.

One of the few hotel around Lake Kawaguchiko with views of Mt Fuji and with a slightly more expensive rates if you include dinner. A modern hotel with excellent amenities and close to to Fuji-Q bus stop (50m) for the Shinjuku Expressway Bus. The Fuji-Q train station is a little further with about 20 minutes of walking. Breakfast was good with both international and Japanese options. Easy to get to Chureito Pagoda by train from Fuji-Q station. The hotel also provides a shuttle bus to the 3 main train stations at Mt Fuji. The public onsen (next o the hotel) for use free by guests is an excellent set-up and should not be missed. Visit Fuji-Q if time permits.

Really liked the view of Mt Fuji from the room and access to the Onsen. Proximity to the theme park is great if you like that type of activity. Liked the free shuttle bus to get to places around the resort. Note I realise the bus isn’t just there to pick up and drop off at stations but it would be useful to time the morning shuttle after checkout - the 11:30 one about 5mins earlier to allow customers to get the 11:32 train from mt Fuji station instead of needing to wait 45 mins for next train.

The hotel has an excellent view of Mt Fuji, as long as you order the rooms with Mountain View. The staff are super friendly even in Japanese standard, the best I have ever had. Their buffet breakfast was excellent too, with a good variety of food and the taste is amazing. Access to Onsen is included, and there’s a dedicated corridor to access the Onsen. It was quite an experience for us and we will definitely recommend it to anyone else. The hotel room is bigger than other hotels we stayed in Tokyo, that’s understandable but still a pleasant surprise.

View (from property/room), Bed in Highland Resort Hotel & Spa

After our last stay in the themed Thomas room 9 years ago, we were back and stayed at the executive floor - was treated very nicely with in-room Mt Fuji biscuits, Bvlgari toiletries and Pola skincare set, Refa hair dryer…the room design was perfect for us, bedroom and a sitting area separated by sliding doors, tv on both sides. The view from the room did not disappoint - we were very lucky to see Mount Fuji with clear sky. The executive floor benefits did not stop from there. We were let to the sky lounge at 8:30 next morning, and had cream puffs plus drink to redeem at the Italian restaurant. This hotel knows how to treat their VIP customers and well.

This is a wonderful hotel with a stunning view of Mt. Fuji. When I checked in we were given a theme park view even though I booked a mountain view. The staff took the time to find out if he could get me moved, talked with house keeping and had me come see the replacement room before finalizing the room. They were so kind, patient and made sure everything was clean and sorted for us. Could not thank him enough. Secondly, the access to the onsen on the property was lovely. Truly a relaxing atmosphere all the while getting back to the room to stare at Mt. Fuji. And lastly, they are close to bakeries and had multiple restaurants onsite. The main one we went to was delicious and had very fair prices. You have everything you need at this resort. highly recommend!

We loved the room and the big space. We were a family of 3 staying in one room and despite one being a sofa-cum-bed it was quite comfortable. We enjoyed the onsen as well as all the amenities provided within the onsen including bath products, post-shower body creams, etc. as well as hairdryers, etc. The location of the property was also nice although it might be a bit of an issue or expensive if you do not have your own car and rely on taxi.

This is my third year staying at the Highland Hotel, and while my previous visits were exceptional, this stay fell a bit short. However, the hotel's location remains one of its greatest strengths. Some staff members were truly accommodating, and the shuttle service was convenient. The highlight of my stay was the delicious Japanese kaiseki meal.

Hotel had one of the best view of Mt. Fuji. Hotel beds were comfortable. Requested for extra pillow and was delivered very quickly to the room. Very good breakfast spread. Good customer service and was particularly impressed with Mr. Kenta Ashizawa, Service Dept (Reception) Manager. His service was first class. Always wear a smiling face greeting his guests and nothing is too difficult or troublesome for him. He made all the difference during our 3 night's stay over the New Year 2025.

Everything about this hotel was exceptional. The room beautifully merged 'Japandi' aesthetics, a blend of Japanese and Western styles. This is, by far, my favorite hotel in Japan. Although the staff didn't speak English, their efforts to assist were commendable and appreciated. The hospitality was warm and welcoming. The Onsen attached to the hotel is the best I experienced during my entire trip in Japan. The view of Mt. Fuji on my last day from the window was unforgettable. I will definitely return
